What a lovely weekend.
Saturday we headed out to Wales for a little hike up Moel Fammau. I don’t know how many times I’ve been to the top – I’ve lost count now… but this was definitely the windiest time. It was so windy, in fact, that I didn’t actually go to the *summit*. It felt quite unsafe with the very strong wind coupled with my -at times- dubious balancing abilities. Spending time outdoors and getting some exercise was really nice – definitely not complaining. It actually snowed a little bit during the walk. My favourite bit of the walk was seeing the spring lambs bouncing around butting their Mum’s for milk.
Lauren and Davoud came over for dinner Saturday night and my *low fat* cheesecake actually didn’t taste too bad… It was a bit of an experiment and Paul, Lauren and Davoud were complimentary guinea pigs. We voted for the Earth (instead of global warming) by switching the lights off at 8:30pm for Earth Hour http://www.earthhour.org/about/. We sat by the fire with lots of candles and chatted. A lovely evening.
Our clocks went forward overnight so let the long evenings begin! Today Paul has gone out on his motorbike to participate in a charity bike ride around the Wirral called the Egg Run. It’s about a 20 mile ride and the idea is that the bikers take Easter eggs to the children in the hospital which is where the ride finishes. I think I’ll head out for a walk in the sun shortly…
This week is back to a full week at work. Trying to stay motivated on that front but finding it difficult at the moment…. Hopefully its just the winter blues catching up with me and the spring evenings should give me the kick I need.
