Well spring is definitely here.
The daffodils are finishing now and the bluebells arrived about a week early. Trees are in blossom and the temperatures are pretty balmy for a UK spring. It’s been such a dry start to the year too which has been great – hopefully we don’t pay for it later in the summer.
We had a couple of nice walks over the weekend and the highlight of the weekend was on Sunday when we met Hughie: Harriet and Pete’s 9 day old baby boy. He was so small – I loved having a cuddle with him. He was very quiet while we were there but seemed very alert too for someone so small. Stella was more interested in 2 year old Seamus than Hughie as he was moving more at her pace. 😉
This is a lovely short week this week. In fact, we’re half way through it. I finish Thursday mid day for a little lunch and visit to a garden centre with Helen and then it’s Easter weekend. Jayne and the gang are coming on Good Friday for a meal and play and then we’re off up to the lakes on Saturday for a week in the cottage in Boot. Can’t wait.
