memories of peanut buster parfaits…

Well it’s half way through another week. Where does the time go?

This week is a short one for me… I’m off on Friday. I need to take my car to the garage for its MOT retest and then we’re heading to Wales camping for the bank holiday weekend. We’re staying at a campsite in Llangollen and doing some more walking along Offa’s Dyke. I’m looking forward to it – although the weather forecast is looking a bit sketchy – especially for Saturday.

Last weekend we had a lovely Saturday morning bike ride – 20 miles around the Wirral and then we had Paul’s family over for a meal Saturday afternoon. The kids liked the ice cream cake I made and I was quite partial to it as well – especially with a big dollop of peanut butter chocolate sauce…. reminded me of a peanut buster parfait from Dairy Queen! On Sunday I met Helen and Harriet in Chester and we had a shop, lunch and a good catch up.

I’m still enjoying work and have been doing lots of math and physics this week which has definitely got my brain working again. Lunch times over here are becoming quite social. On Monday all the division executives were here and there was a buffet lunch in the office for everyone. Tuesday I went out for a Thai lunch with some of the people I used to work with at Electrowatt. Tomorrow I’m meeting VW Dave from Capenhurst who now works in the next building down. We always have a good gossip about the people we used to work with!

Only one more get up for me!
