We chalked up another big walk in North Wales last weekend when we walked around the Clwydian hills and along the Offa’s Dyke path. Stella had lots of “off lead” and ball time so she was happy. It was really nice being out in the fresh air together and I really enjoyed the views. We had parked at the Ruthin Craft Centre so used that as an excuse to stop into their café at the end for a drink and something sweet. I guess 11 miles walking took its toll on all of us…. I fell asleep on the couch at 7:30pm! Stella was also quite despondent on her bean bag and even Paul was in bed at 10:30pm!
Paul worked on Sunday so I took Stella out to Hilbre again and then made “haggis, neeps and tattie” pie for dinner. I think perhaps I may have been working in Scotland for too long….?
I’m looking forward to this weekend away for our anniversary in a cottage near Penrith. Here’s the link to where we are staying http://www.up-front.com/cottage.html. We are planning on doing some more walking although I haven’t dared look at the weather forecast yet. Fingers crossed it’s good and the experience is generally warmer than our last cottage adventure. I’m going to stay on there for the rest of the week while working over the border.
Thursday evening should also be fun as the 3 of us are going to have our picture taken at one of these studios that takes modern pictures doing crazy things. I’m sure I’ll post the print we end up selecting….
